Written for Dad by a one-year-old
(here's a portion)

I know I woke you up a lot

When I was very small

It's not that I just wanted munchies

That's not it at all.

I knew a few choice wails

Would bring you sailing to my side

I'd get more time to gaze at you

With eyes so big and wide.

As I grew older, I discovered

Lots of fun 'n' games.

I hardly can contain myself

Whenever we hit Ames.

I love indulging us with what

I call "Around the Chair."

I'm fast -- I'm quick -- I'm rocket speed

Just catch me if you dare.

And when I see you're really tired

Here's my favorite ploy:

I head right for the stairs or kitchen:

Got to get a toy

That's out-of-sight, forbidden

Like some paper on the floor

And when you swipe it from my hand

I'll just go find some more.

I love it when you tickle me

And play "I'm gonna getcha."

But pretty soon I think I will

Outrun you -- yes, I betcha!
